Chat /emotes & Focus Mode!

Short Description:

Customize “emotes” so when a user types /yourword, the sentence or image you choose will show in chat instead! Switch to Focus Mode to only allow emotes in chat. (Type /focus for emotes-only, type /talk to chat again, type /emotes to display the list.)

2/16 UPDATE: Added the ability to randomly select what texts or image comes up when someone types the /emoteword. List multiple options in "Text/images for Emote ", separated by /// and the bot will randomly choose one.

2/3 UPDATE: Added a setting for "Words/phrases that can still be used during Focus Mode" so you can allow people to say "wow" "beautiful" etc, even if they are not /emotes.

Why would one use this "Chat /emotes & Focus Mode" Bot?

a. Sometimes, you want to focus on what you're doing :) and pause public chat! ...and maybe, you still want a (free) way for people to cheer you on, with sentences that you like!

b. You want to ‘mute graphics’ for all/most people, but you still want people to be able to use your favorite gifs (or useful images, for recommending follow or fanclub etc)!

c. People sometimes forget what they wrote in their tipnote, so you’d like to send tippers a text copy! (You can use the bot just for this - just clear/check the other settings.)

d. … if you want your folks to “/enter” the secret lair, and “/examine” the treasure chest only to find out it is a mimic… (I haven’t tried it for this, but it’s a good Bot for games where people vote, choose, or type in /shortword to trigger a whole sentence with images!)

This Bot can run with default settings! Run the Bot, then type “/emotes” to see an auto-generated list, then type “/boom” or “/follow” etc to see what the emote looks like. Switch chat modes with “/focus” & “/talk” :)

This Bot’s main features:

--- create custom emotes (chat commands) that users can use to express themselves! When a user types “/yourword” then the phrase/image you specify will show in chat instead.

--- switch to Focus Mode by typing “/focus,” which pauses public chat and only allows users to use emotes (or tipnotes)! When you can chat again, type “/talk”

--- when in Focus Mode, the bot can send notices to people who are trying to use public chat, so they can use /emotes to cheer you on instead!

--- show an automatically-generated notice for your emotes, or your own custom multi-line notice, when someone types "/emotes" - NOTE: you can have multiple ways to trigger the same emote - for example, “/hello” “/hi” “/hey” can all cause the same text/image to be shown in chat. However, when you use the “auto-gen notice” feature, only the FIRST word will be listed as the command, so make sure to list the best command word first.

ALSO...

--- send a copy of tipnote to the tipper

--- mute images for users of various colors (the image will be replaced by PIC-imagename)

--- allow your custom emotes to be triggered in different ways, for example /hello /hi /hey /aloha can allow result in the same text or image showing up! You can also have the bot randomly select which text or image will show up, just list the options separated by /// - for example, you can have "coinflip in the emote command setting, and "heads! /// tails :(" in the text setting, and the Bot will show one at random.
