::STORY BEHIND COURT FEES::
We were pulled over for speeding while passing a semi-truck. We were in the passing lane and obviously we have to speed a little to pass.
We went to a preliminary hearing where the prosecutor offered us 2 points lower on the ticket if we plead guilty and also 0 points but double the fine as the original.
Since we feel this is entirely unfair and we are incapable of paying the fine as we are broke and literally use all our money on food we are contesting the ticket and taking it to trial.
When we told the prosecutor this he got very mad and said that he had never lost a case and that he would make sure we would end up paying over $1000 in fines.
We're going to try and get them to offer us community service and driving courses in place of points and fines as we are full time students with no legitimate jobs as we take care of His grandparents who are senile with dementia and Alzheimer which is a full time job in itself.
So please help us just in case this asshole wins and forces us to pay money we simply do not have!!!
